The Locus team continues to make improvements to the extension as we head into fall. Every investment we make into new features and polish, hopefully improves your productivity just a bit (or a lot). This release comes with some small improvements, but with potentially big impact - registration free use and AI summarization.
With this change, you can get started with locus without needing to register.
There is one caveat - guest mode does not include the side-panel functionality for history, favorites, and summarization.
Registering with a valid email, immediately gets you access to the expanded sidepanel functionality and out of guest mode.
This option is the default, and does not require any Generative AI API keys:
Use an Open AI API key to use GPT to summarize the page and then copy it to clipboard
